Class Description

This level is for swimmers who are able to swim 30 feet of Freestyle and Backstroke. This class is for swimmers who are working to improve their rotatary breathing and backstroke techinques, as well as the indroduction to breaststroke and butterfly.

Requirements to join level

Must be able to

Swim in water over their head

  • Swim freestyle 30 feet with rotatry breathing
  • Swim backstroke 30 feet with straight arm recovery
Focus: Stroke Improvement
Learning Objectives
  1. Flutter kick on front and back for 50 yards
  2. Retrieve an object from depth of 5 feet
  3. Freestyle with proper technique 25 yards
  4. Backstroke with proper technique 25 yards
  5. Frog kick 12 yards
  6. Perform Breaststroke arm action
  7. Breaststroke with proper timing 12 yards
  8. Somersault (front flip)
  9. Dolphin kick for 15 Feet
  10. Tread water for 1 minute
  11. Diving/Compact dive
Safety Skill: Reach or Throw Don't Go
Exit Skill: Compact Dive, 25 Yards of Freestyle, 25 Yards of Backstroke, Breaststroke for 12 yards, Tread water for 1 minute
